These locations include sporting goods stores, gun shops, department stores, discount stores, bait and tackle shops, grocery stores, and many other types of stores. August 11-Active Duty Military Licenses: Texas active duty military are eligible for a free Super Combo hunting and fishing license. August 19- John Karger-Falconry: There is more to the sport of falconry than just setting a raptor free to hunt. August 22- Passport Legacies: Houston-based environmental attorney, Jim Blackburn, came to the bayou city to attend law school, thinking he would leave after graduation. Yet, he was so enchanted by the diversity of environmental systems in the area, that he decided to stay and do his part to protect them. www.texaslegacy.org August 23-24-Coastal Bay Tourney: The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is looking for some skilled anglers to help catch spotted sea trout and flounder for its hatchery breeding program.
