Essays should detail what happened to the state lizard of Texas in the students' communities, based on interviews and research completed by individual students or entire classes. January 18 -- Inventories at Wildlife Management Areas: Not all surveys are conducted over the telephone in the middle of your dinner hour. January 19 & 20 -- Light Goose Conservation Order: Snow geese, also called light geese, have experienced an enormous population explosion, the consequence of which is the destruction of their Canadian breeding grounds. January 23 -- Passport to Texas Legacies: Daniel Quinn: Daniel Quinn, an author and philosopher based in Houston, has written fictional and factual books about the interrelationships among the human species and the rest of the community of life. He warns that if we do not begin behaving as if we are part this community, we could take ourselves out of it permanently.
