400TH SHARELUNKER3: Celebrating 20 years and 400 fish ... we'll explain on Passport to Texas ... ____________________________________________________________ Passport to Texas ... from Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Sport Fish Restoration Program ... Any day now a skilled -- and lucky - angler, casting in Texas waters, will land a 13 pound or bigger largemouth bass that could become the 400th lunker that's certified and donated to the Budweiser Sharelunker program. The lunker this year could possibly come in February. Of course, that's a sheer guess on my part. :05 David Campbell's guess is as good as anyone's. He's served as program coordinator throughout it's 20 year history. To celebrate this milestone, the angler who donates the 400th certified lunker, will land cash and prizes. Our sponsors are willing to give $400-dollars per pound. And we'll give a G-Loomis rod that's been personalized, and it will have a Shimano reel on it. And if it's a Texas resident, we'll give them a lifetime fishing license. :14 The 400th lunker donated to the program will earn the angler who caught it a minimum of $5,200 dollars, and will help the sharelunker program reach its goal ... To enhance sport fishing in Texas. We're trying to improve the overall size of largemouth bass in Texas fisheries. :07 For complete details on how to certify and donate your lunker, visit the fishing and boating pages of the TPWD web site. That's our show ... supported by the Sport Fish Restoration Program ... funded by your purchase of fishing equipment and motor boat fuels. For Texas Parks and Wildlife ... I'm Cecilia Nasti.
