Passport to Texas ... from Texas Parks and Wildlife 

Outdoor enthusiasts of all levels will want a copy of the 
March issue of Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine. 
Managing editor Charles Lohrmann explains.

The March issue is going to be an issue that I think everyone 
will want to keep in their car. Because we're going to have fifty 
outdoor adventures. Five writers have each selected ten of their 
favorite outdoor activities all the way around the state. And it's 
everything from kayaking the lighthouse lakes near Port 
Aransas to surfing the sand dunes near Monahans. So, whether 
you're on Padre Island or in the Panhandle, there's something 
for you to do - hiking , birding, hunting, fishing - for all levels 
of outdoor enthusiast and for solitary activities and family 
activities, so it'll be a great tool for planning a trip in the spring 
and summer months around Texas. A little adventure I really 
want to do is hiking the south prong canyon of the Little Red 
River, which is in Caprock Canyon State Park. It was named 
almost 200 years ago by a Spanish explorer and I haven't been 
there yet. :50
