COASTAL BAY TEAM 2: Land a spotted sea trout, help coastal fisheries and win prizes. We'll tell you how on Passport to Texas. ___________________________________________________________ Passport to Texas from Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Sport Fish Restoration Program Experienced anglers who like casting for spotted sea trout, should make plans to be at Sea Ranch Marina on South Padre Island April 8, for the first of six Coastal Fisheries Bay Team Tournaments. These participants are actually helping us bring in some real good fish, because they're already avid fishermen, and in this particular type of species. :08 Robert Adami oversees the program, which improves coastal fisheries by using these species in breeding and stocking programs. The event is limited to thirty, two- person teams. Registration takes place onsite starting at 6am and the tournament ends at 12:00 noon. Anglers can fish any way they want. They can fish on pier, wading, from a bank, on a boat ... . it doesn't matter as long as they bring me back the fish alive. :09 And when they do, they become eligible for prizes. One of the items we're going to be giving away is a Calcutta 250 reel on a Texas tackle factory rod. And another item we're going to be giving away is some Boga Grips, and then the third item we'll be giving away is a Garmin GPS. :12 Participants that don't land spotted sea trout will still have their names put into a hat for a prize of their own. We'll be giving them a Shimano Curado reel. :02 That's our show ... .The Sport Fish Restoration Program supports our series ... and also helps to fund Sea Center Texas in Lake Jackson. For Texas Parks and Wildlife ... I'm Cecilia Nasti.
