OUTDOORS STORIES - NOAH TUNNINGLEY: Meet an eighth grader from Lockhart with advice for kids about spending time outdoors ... on Passport to Texas Outdoor Stories. ___________________________________________________________ Passport to Texas Outdoor Stories from TPWD Noah Tunningley, who's finishing up the eighth grade in Lockhart, Texas, loves spending time outdoors. Yeah, I spend quite a bit outdoors. I'm sometimes inside, though, playing video games and stuff. :05 Although, like most kids his age, Noah plays video games, he says it's important to him to balance his game playing with time in nature. Well, it seems like it's funner to be outdoors to me, because it's just like, more like, energetic. And, you're not doing the same old thing, and you get to have new experiences. You get to see more things that you haven't really seen, like, if you see like an insect you've never seen, or a different kind of plant or something - it's just cool. :20 Noah's climbed Enchanted Rock in Llano several times with family and friends, and says he enjoys pushing himself physically. He thinks all kids should spend time outside - whether it's taking a walk in the woods, biking, camping or fishing. Well, yeah, don't just sit indoors all day and just sit around and do nothing. Because that's just like wasting your time, and you're not having probably as much fun as you would if you were outside. :11 Thanks Noah - have a great summer! Now it's your turn.
