Passport to Texas from Texas Parks and Wildlife

June heralds the beginning of summer vacation season. If 
you want to see a lot of Texas in a short amount of time, 
from the comfort of your easy chair - just grab the 
remote control -- and tune in all this month to Texas 
Parks and Wildlife's television series.

Writer/producer, Alan Fisher highlights some of the 
stories to expect in the weeks ahead.
 
For folks who enjoy state parks, and visiting state parks, there's a real 
central Texas gem, Palmetto State Park, which is really a rare 
opportunity to find a swamp in Central Texas. Scuba divers, sport 
fishermen, even history buffs might be interested to watch a Ron 
Kabele produced segment on the sinking of a WWII Liberty Ship, that's 
now an artificial reef teaming with life in the Gulf of Mexico. And from 
the ongoing series - at the end of June - Texas: The State of Water - 
we have a segment by Lee Smith on a group in East Texas whose 
working to save the Neches River. :36
