TPWD TV - HIGHLIGHTS: Rescue and recovery with Game Wardens ... relocating bison ... and discovering a long lost Hollywood film ... details ahead on Passport to Texas ... ____________________________________________________________ Passport to Texas from Texas Parks and Wildlife The beauty of the Texas Parks and Wildlife television series is its ability to transport viewers around this big, beautiful, and fascinating state in less than thirty minutes time. I doubt H.G. Wells' time machine could do that. Series Writer / producer Alan Fisher, gives us a rundown of what to expect this month. In the coming weeks we'll follow some Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens doing rescue and recovery work after hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Also, visit the Panhandle and follow some relocation of a bison herd to Caprock Canyon State Park. There's an interesting story on a long lost film about Devil's Sinkhole made in 1950 by a Hollywood film producer who lived in Texas. It's been recently rediscovered by some cavers. It's got some camp value I suppose now, that it didn't have then. It's an interesting portrait of a time and a place. It's fascinating all by itself. You can see Texas Parks and Wildlife television on PBS stations around the state. And even on some local cable affiliates as well. Check your local listings. That's our show for today ... thank you for joining us. Joel Block engineers our series ... For Texas Parks and Wildlife ... I'm Cecilia Nasti.
