EXPO, 2: If you're coming out to Texas parks and Wildlife Expo ... you need to know how to navigate ... we'll explain on Passport to Texas ____________________________________________________________ PTT from TPWD and the SFWR Program The Texas Parks and Wildlife Expo ... on the grounds of Parks and Wildlife headquarters in Austin ... offers visitors a chance to participate in a wide variety of outdoor activities. "Oh, Expo has got a little bit of everything." Ernie Gammage is Expo Director. The event takes place this weekend, October 7 & 8, from 9 to 5 both days. "You can shoot, you can mountain bike, you can kayak, you can actually fish, you can learn all about camping and outdoor skills. We have rock climbing walls; we have all kinds of animals ... demonstrations ... workshops ... seminars ... ." We understand so much variety can seem overwhelming. "And, my advice would be to spend some time on the web site if you can, and make a list of those things that you would like to do. Do you want to mountain bike, do you want to shoot, do you want to fish, do you want to learn about camping, and then make a beeline for those things. And too many times, people want to visit everything, visit everything, see everything, and then decide to do something. And if you do that, by the end of the day, you haven't done anything." You'll find complete details about the 2006 Texas Parks and Wildlife Expo on the TPWD web site. "If you love the outdoors ... if you think you'd love the outdoors ... or if you just want to have a great day in the outdoors ... try the Texas Parks and Wildlife Expo." That's our show for today ... supported by the Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration Program ... For Texas Parks and Wildlife ... I'm Cecilia Nasti.
