COASTAL FISHERS BAY TEAM, 1: Southern Flounder is the catch of the day at this tournament ... details on Passport to Texas. (Week of Nov. 6) PTT from TPWD and the SFWR Program If you're an experienced saltwater angler, the organizers of the Coastal Fisheries Bay Team Tournament need you! Well, the coastal fisheries bay team events are where we get together with the local anglers to help collect brood stock for our hatchery programs. :07 Robert Adami coordinates the tournament; the next one is this Saturday in Texas City at Boyd's One Stop. And, what we're collecting this year are Southern flounder and spotted sea trout. And we're concentrating on the Southern flounder in the fall season. :08 The tournament consists of thirty, two member teams. We are going to start registration at six o'clock in the morning, and the event ends promptly at twelve noon. And one of those things is that our anglers that come in have to be twenty-one years of age and older because Anheuser Busch is sponsoring it. And we are going to be registering thirty, two person teams. So, if people want to fish with us, they've got to be there early. :23 * Participating anglers surrender their catch for eventual use as brood stock, but they don't leaver empty handed. Everyone's name goes into a hat for a chance to win a Shimano Calcutta 200B on a Texas Tackle Factory Rod, a * Garmin Etrex GPS, or a Boga grip. And ALL participants receive a cap, t-shirt and a commemorative lure. Not one person will go away empty-handed; that's for sure. :03 That's our show ... supported by the Sport Fish and Wildlife Restoration Program ... funded by your purchase of fishing and hunting equipment and motor boat fuels ... for Texas Parks and Wildlife ...
