Passport to Texas from Texas Parks and Wildlife

Looking for a way to spend a long weekend? Texas Parks 
and Wildlife magazine, associate publisher, Charles 
Lohrmann, says you'll find fifty great getaways in the 
March issue.
 
Yeah, by March most Texans are getting a mile case of spring 
fever, and starting to think about getting outdoors a little bit, or 
maybe taking a long weekend and getting out of town for a few 
days. So, what we've done is we've asked our writers to come 
up with some of their favorite ideas for weekend getaways. And 
the March issue cover story is fifty of those getaway ideas, and 
we're focusing on areas that are short drives from Dallas or 
Houston, and then Central Texas. And so they've come up with 
some really interesting ideas. And some of them are 
inexpensive - involving camping in a national forest, or 
camping on a beach. And others are a little more pricy, like 
spending a weekend at Kemah. There is something for all price 
ranges, and there's something for all interest levels from 
birding, to camping, to kayaking. So, whether you're an
