Boater Safety START DATE: IMMEDIATELY KILL DATE: NONE Contact: Brandi Bradford, (512) 389-4993 BOATER SAFETY Boating season is here. Have fun, and be safe. Before you set out on your boat, take one of the many boater safety courses offered by Texas Parks and Wildlife. You and everyone on your boat should wear a lifejacket at all times. Filing a float plan that includes where you will be, what time you will return, and who is on the boat with you, will help others to locate you should you run into problems. For more information, or to locate a boater safety course near you, log onto the Parks and Wildlife website.
