SHOOTING -- FIRST TIMER: Trying her aim ... Corrie Kipp tells us about using a shotgun for the first time on Passport to Texas. Passport to Texas from TPW and the SFWR Program Ok, you ready to get doin' some shooting? :02 Corrie Kipp was ready at 2008's Parks and Wildlife Expo. I think it's going to be really a good start at hunting maybe. Like, get experience for aiming at everything. My family goes hunting all the time. So, I have a BB gun, but I'm afraid I'm not going to aim at something and I miss, and everybody else, "hahaha" .:14 But first, a safety briefing You gotta just keep it pointed at the target and everything will be good, OK? OK, I can deal with that [shooting] : 10 And her target-shooting results? It was really hard to try to aim at it. You didn't know where it was going to go: left, and right, and all around. And it was a really heavy on your shoulders! So when you shot it, it'll pull you a little backwards. And this is much louder. I just don't like loud noises. And I'm afraid I'm not gonna hit one again. I only hit half of one. That's one that counts as one! Yeah, I hit one!.It was kind of hard too. :24 In the meantime, there's always practice and ... growing tall enough to handle a gun. Grow up before you do it. You're bigger, so you can shoot. .:04 We want to hear your thoughts! Visit our website: passporttotexas.org and click on the "comments" link to share yours.
