TPW TV -- PARKS: Planning a trip to a state park but don't know which one? We can help...on Passport to Texas. Passport to Texas from Texas Parks and Wildlife Spring Break is almost here, and it is an ideal time to visit a state park with the family. This month the Texas Parks and Wildlife television series highlights four parks for your consideration, series producer, Don Cash. We start out at the first of the month, headed to the top of the hill country at Meridian State Park. A little later in the month, we're headed near Beaumont to Village Creek State Park. And, a great thing to do down there is to paddle down Village Creek. [paddling water] It's one of the few free flowing streams in Texas -- it's not dammed up anywhere -- it's a flat-water stream, so it's easy to canoe or kayak down. Uh, and it's a lot of fun. [bird call] We're also going to go to Sebastopol House State Historic Site in Seguin, which is a really interesting home made of limecrete. And, at the end of March, we're going to Monahans Sandhills State Park, which is in West Texas -- about a half hour west of Odessa. The sand dunes are beautiful, and mystical, and unique. Every time you come out here they look different. And when the wind blows, it stirs up the sand where it looks like ghosts are running along the top of the dunes. You know, if you'd like to see these parks ahead of time, or after the show, most the parks [videos] are on our website. :58 Thanks, Don.
