WINTER TROUT STOCKING


Winter is a great time to take the family fishing! Through the 
first week of March, Texas Parks & Wildlife will stock nearly 
two-hundred eighty-nine-thousand trout in community and 
state park fishing lakes. The trout stockings are funded by 
proceeds from the freshwater fishing stamp - which adults 
must purchase in addition to a fishing license. Kids under 17 
fish free. And it's always free to fish at state parks.
