WINTER TROUT STOCKING


Winter is a great time to take the family fishing!  Through the 
first week of March, Texas Parks & Wildlife will stock nearly 
two-hundred ninety-thousand trout in 150 community and 
state park fishing lakes.  Proceeds from the freshwater fishing 
stamp – which adults must purchase in addition to a fishing 
license—fund the trout stockings.  Meanwhile, kids under 17 
may fish free.  And it’s always free to fish at state parks.
