FIREWORKS IN PARKS


When it comes to celebrating our nation’s birthday this 
July Fourth weekend at Texas state parks, bring the 
barbeque, watermelon, and the outdoor games…but 
leave the fireworks at home. It is a Class C misdemeanor 
to possess fireworks in state parks–including sparklers. 
Some state parks offer organized public fireworks 
displays. And you can find out which ones plan to light 
up the night sky when you log onto the Texas Parks and 
Wildlife website.
